Students join Alay-Lakad Takbo 2015
Students of Jose Rizal Memorial State University (JRMSU) Dipolog gathered as early as 3 o’clock in the morning to be one with the whole community and join the Alay-Lakad Takbo 2015 last September 27.
JRMSU contingent was spearheaded by its Supreme Student Government (SSG) President Juner Aranguez together with the faculty and students who took part in the foot parade that started from National Highway of Sta. Isabel and ended at Dipolog City Sports Complex in Barangay Olingan.
This annual feat organized by the city government of Dipolog does not only gather participants but also amass financial assistance from government and private entities, as well as philanthropists to help fund its scholarship program.
City Mayor Evelyn T. Uy, in her speech, challenged Alay-Lakad scholars to impress their benefactors by studying hard and finishing their studies.
It was later announced in the closing program that JRMSU got the Biggest and Jolliest contingent award while Dimasalang Talents Guild bagged the Most Colorful Group.
