AACCUP accreditors to visit JRMSU this year

        Accreditors from Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities of the Philippines (AACCUP) are scheduled to visit Jose Rizal Memorial State University of Dipolog Campus this year.
This development was revealed by Quality Assurance Unit Head, Dr. Merlyn N. Luza, saying that the university is now preparing pertinent documents for evaluation from the various areas.
Dr. Luza who led the Accreditation Task Force disclosed that the accreditation will be this coming April and if not, it will be on October this year.

        During the undertaking, the expected Level 2 accreditation survey will not include the courses like Bachelor of Elementary Education, Bachelor of Science in Criminology, and Bachelor of Science in Hotel Restaurant management (BSHRM) because they will be revisited next year.

        Meanwhile, among the accreditation team leaders who were assigned to do their respective responsibilities and functions from the different areas with the assistance of their members were Professor Lorenzo V. Sugod for Area 1 (Vision, Mission, Goals and Objectives); Dr. Elenita M. Reyna for Area II (Faculty); Dr. Ramil C. Moroscallo for Area III (Curriculum and Instruction); Dr. Felipe Pialago for Area IV (Support to Students); Dr. Leonardo D. Cainta for Area V (Research); Professor Rosenda B. Borres for Area VI (Community, Extension, and Involvement); Mr. Mark Andrew D. Bacordo for Area VII (Library); Engr. Alver T. Ageas for Area VIII (Physical Plant and Facilities); Dr. Cinder Dianne L. Tabiolo for Area IX (Laboratories); and Mrs. Regina P. Cinco for Area X (Administration).

        Accreditation is viewed as a process by which an institution at the tertiary level evaluates its educational activities, in whole or in part, and seeks an independent judgment to confirm that it substantially achieves its objectives, and is generally equal in quality to comparable institutions.
