Jose Rizal Memorial State University is dedicated to the advancement of learning. The University is committed to promote research in all fields of knowledge, implement extension programs and services targeting the needs of the communities and put up Income Generating Projects (IGPs) to source out fund from other reliable sources aside from the subsidy of the government.
Each College of the University is mandated to implement at least one extension program every semester while the faculty-researchers should present and publish yearly researches for their own professional development and for the University. This page will be the avenue where you can see the accomplishments, achievements and awards of the faculty-researchers, extension directors and coordinators for the development of the University and the neighboring communities.

I. Specific Functions and Duties
Provides inputs for the development and coordination of programs, systems and standards of the State University.
Conducts system wide development and implementation of tertiary education programs for the faculty as well as the constituents of Zamboanga del Norte, especially its indigenous areas.
Explores the establishment, promotion and maintenance of linkages, extension programs, conferences, training programs on indigenous technologies, research development studies and technology transfers relevant to the communities of Zamboanga del Norte.
Takes charge of the information, collection, information dissemination and publication needs of the State University.
Supervises the State University Research and Extension Advisory Council (SCREAC).
Supervises and controls over the Planning Office, Research Office, Extension Service Office, Management Information System, Center for Arts and Cultural Affairs and Income Generating Projects.
